... and you may wonder why is this news and what would possess the FTC to actually waste time and effort pursuing such a ridiculous move? Here's your answer, from the 2008 campaign:

And there were lots of other stations fined as well.

I'd love to hear your conspiracy theory involving all the other stations.

So you are upset that a TV station, which part of the condition for using the PUBLIC airwaves, was to limit the number of commercials during children's TV shows, gets caught breaking the rules, and gets fined.

so once again you are advocating ignoring the law...

Dozens of television stations a year are fined for similar reasons....
In fact when I was in Broadband in 2003 over a hundred - yes - over 100 stations that year received fines
Oh... the... humanity

From the article:

"The station was among seven nationwide who were fined for violations of the Children's Television Act of 1990."

Again, from the article:

"The station was among seven nationwide who were fined for violations of the Children's Television Act of 1990."

Also from the article:

"The FCC said WFTV self-reported 154 violations during a 2004 license renewal process, yet it ruled this week that the station "apparently willfully and repeatedly" broke FCC rules."

Self reporting equates to willfull and repeatedly... yet the FCC waits six years to levy the fine... okey dokey.

Nothing to see here, everybody move along...

Right...
seven this year 15 next year 4 the year after that 25 three years ago...
That's seven for one specific violation
add up all the different violations among all the stations and we're talking about a hundred

so what's your point...?

seriously, what is your point exactly..? :coffee:
