Boone's got all of blueball's criteria... except good weather is relative. I'd rather have a Boone winter than a Statesboro summer... but, I'm sure some people are different (wrong, but different ;) ).

Probably the best brewery right now in the city would be Central Coast Brewing, on Monterey Street.

Creekside Brewing I haven't tried, but they have a nice seating area overlooking San Luis Creek.

Downtown Brew (formerly SLO Brew) is well known spot.
