Agreed. The MSU game makes me uneasy, but history is on our side, and their performances are a little skewed because of the caliber (or lack thereof) of opponents they've played so far. Either way, should be another battle, and if we don't turn the ball over like we did against UM, I think we win. MSU is out their two starting guards, and a starting DT for this one. They've also had trouble stopping the screen and bubble passes... where TJ flourishes. I will definitely feel better about our chances if we can get the W over in Bozeman (which we've done the last 3 times there.)

Game Over. RED TURF FTW.
IF this happens, and luckily we will find out very soon as those are EWU's next 2 games, then EWU can call it game set and match for the Big Sky.

With 6 turnovers we were still a bad call on 2nd and goal from the one away from winning

The real question EWU has to ask themselves is why the Fck did they need every last second of the clock to win the game when the other team committed 6 turn overs?Silenoz wrote:For the same reason the Yankees lose 60 games a season....BlackFalkin wrote:

Nope, we'll still have SAC and NAU who both might prove to be title contenders.weberwildcat wrote:AGREED.BlackFalkin wrote:

Because we had 4 turnovers of our own and the 4-play sequence in the 1st quarter that started with a missed deep ball to a wide open Taiwan where he was 10 yards behind the secondary, followed by a pick six, followed by an EW fumble on the return, followed by a Montana touchdown on an end around.BearIt wrote:The real question EWU has to ask themselves is why the Fck did they need every last second of the clock to win the game when the other team committed 6 turn overs?Silenoz wrote:

We go from up 7-0 to down 14-0 in a hurry. So in essence, I agree, the game shouldn't have been that close.

Are you too fuckin' stupid to see what I'm saying here? MT is not the best TEAM right now. The last two games prove that outright. MSU is playing the best TEAM ball right now. EWU has far & away the best player in this game and it may be enough to win the game but I wouldn't bank on that.BlackFalkin wrote:Heere you go again! Eastern got us.
I really don't think it's forgone that you have the BSC sewed up though cuz I'm not real sure you're gonna get by MSU Eastern may be different this year but teams that get a win over us normally fall the next week and the fact that MSU in my opinion is the best TEAM in the BSC right now you may not have long to rest on the ol' victory BF. You guys get by that game then I could see a BSC Chapionship in your future but we're only one game in thus far.

thats the wrong question. if wsu didnt have a boat load of turnovers we'd have gone 11-0 last yr. when it comes to final results a team can have all the talent but if they can't hold on to the ball then it doesn't matter how good we think a team is because the final score is all that matters.BearIt wrote:The real question EWU has to ask themselves is why the Fck did they need every last second of the clock to win the game when the other team committed 6 turn overs?Silenoz wrote:

I agree, I think MSU has the better TEAM right now but there is no one in the FCS, IMO, that will touch Jones. He accounts for most of their offense..you can't stop him, just try to hold him down.

I absolutely agree with you. I'm worried if Montana doesn't turn it around that could be looking at a 4-6 win season. My point is that EWU shouldn't be anointing themselves the BSC champs just yet. With our 6 turnovers they should have blown us out. The fact that they needed every last second of the game to win eventhough we committed 6 turnovers shows that they still have a lot of work.weberwildcat wrote:thats the wrong question. if wsu didnt have a boat load of turnovers we'd have gone 11-0 last yr. when it comes to final results a team can have all the talent but if they can't hold on to the ball then it doesn't matter how good we think a team is because the final score is all that matters.BearIt wrote:

Just because they lost to a good EWU team does not mean that their "Reign is over." Before you get a swelled head maybe you should worry about the rest of your Big Sky schedule as it will not be a cakewalk, starting with MSU this Saturday.

You guys are funny. If turnovers and lack of discipline were not factors in football you wouldn't have lost either. Hey, why don't we throw out the TD at the end since it didn't really matter anyway. You guys only lost by three!Willie wrote:I would hardly call 1 man a team. Without Taiwan, Eastern is nothing. Plain and simple.kalm wrote:

Don't even start that isht dude. While we certainly wouldn't be as explosive offensively, there were a lot of kids out there for Eastern that made a lot of huge plays on offense and defense that weren't named Taiwan. We beat you in virtually *every* statistical category in this game; it wasn't just Taiwan.
