If you ever met me in real life (which I won't ever let happen), you would understand you prick. I'm probably the most laid back and quiet person you'd ever meet. Look at the picture. I think DJH's point is the fans were all over the fielders glove and his glove was still in the field of play. Believe it or not, a glove can catch a ball before it ends up in the stands.. that is if douchebag Yankee fans would stop reaching into the field of play and interfering.Gil Dobie wrote:The fans can interfere with the ball if it's in the stands, try reading the entire post.DJH wrote:

I just looked up the rules on MLB.com and it's okay to interfere with the players glove, even if the players glove is in the field of play, if the ball lands outside the field of play without the fans touching the ball first.UNHWildCats wrote:Look at the picture. We're normal people, we can understand these things. And while Willie and Gil are great friendly guys.... they are very blinded by the Yankeeism.DJH wrote:Yes!!!! Re: ALCS
I see your point. I think the umpires ruled that he could not have caught the ball, hence the HR. Based on the replays I've seen so far I agree with the call.DJH wrote:Willie wrote: The ball was in the stands so it doesn't fucking matter if he was interfered with.damn, you guys are thick. Re: ALCS
Interesting. So if the player gets in position at the fence before the ball lands, the fans should interfere with him immediately. If the ball lands in the stands it's a homer, and if not the player probably would have caught it.Gil Dobie wrote:I just looked up the rules on MLB.com and it's okay to interfere with the players glove, even if the players glove is in the field of play, if the ball lands outside the field of play without the fans touching the ball first.UNHWildCats wrote: Look at the picture. This way, the fans can prevent a catch that would otherwise rob their team of a HR and there is nothing to lose.

Make that 7-3, Rangers still batting with 1st and 3rd, 2 outs.BlueHen86 wrote:6-3 Rangers in the top of the 7th. The Rangers have hit a couple of non-controversial HR's.

Perhaps the most hilarious sight in baseball.....thousands of empty seats in Yankmee stadium before the final out has been logged.

Modern Pro sports fans, mostly corporate, mostly looking at each others jewelry and not the game. They had to get home and catch the end of a Lakers pre-season game, and watch some 90's Chicago Bulls and Dallas Cowboys highlights that they have on tape.AZGrizFan wrote:Perhaps the most hilarious sight in baseball.....thousands of empty seats in Yankmee stadium before the final out has been logged.

Texeira done for season. Will be replaced on roster tomorrow, will not be eligible to be on World Series roster, if Yankees somehow pull a miracle out of their asses.
