yeah, you obviously don't give a fuck.

The ball was in the stands so it doesn't fucking matter if he was interfered with.
 damn, you guys are thick. He may have caught the ball BEFORE it went into the stands if his glove wasn't pushed out of the way.

The fans can interfere with the ball if it's in the stands, try reading the entire post.
Look at the picture. I think DJH's point is the fans were all over the fielders glove and his glove was still in the field of play. Believe it or not, a glove can catch a ball before it ends up in the stands.. that is if douchebag Yankee fans would stop reaching into the field of play and interfering.

Its really not that hard to understand.

I just looked up the rules on MLB.com and it's okay to interfere with the players glove, even if the players glove is in the field of play, if the ball lands outside the field of play without the fans touching the ball first.

We're normal people, we can understand these things. And while Willie and Gil are great friendly guys.... they are very blinded by the Yankeeism.

I see your point. I think the umpires ruled that he could not have caught the ball, hence the HR. Based on the replays I've seen so far I agree with the call.

You don't know the rule in this case obviously.

Interesting. So if the player gets in position at the fence before the ball lands, the fans should interfere with him immediately. If the ball lands in the stands it's a homer, and if not the player probably would have caught it.
This way, the fans can prevent a catch that would otherwise rob their team of a HR and there is nothing to lose.

6-3 Rangers in the top of the 7th. The Rangers have hit a couple of non-controversial HR's.

Cliff Lee won't have to pitch game 7 afterall, game 1 of the World Series, maybe against Lincecum.

That is a real problem for the team. So far their best players have been the fans in right field.

I think if Philly advances Halladay will have pitched game 7 for them... so wouldnt count on him for game 1.

Perhaps the most hilarious sight in baseball.....thousands of empty seats in Yankmee stadium before the final out has been logged.

Burnett is a Twins type pitcher, 4-5 good innings.

Waiting for another tremendous Yankee comeback.

Heck, in the 8th innning, when down by 4 runs, but with the bases loaded.

2 nights in a row thousands leaving in the 7th-8th inning. What a bunch of fair weather fans...

They had to get home and catch the end of a Lakers pre-season game, and watch some 90's Chicago Bulls and Dallas Cowboys highlights that they have on tape.

Texeira done for season. Will be replaced on roster tomorrow, will not be eligible to be on World Series roster, if Yankees somehow pull a miracle out of their asses.
