Talley called him the best he’s coached in 30 years. Was on the preseason Outland watch list- unheard of for a I-AA lineman. Was on the pre season Payton list- almost unheard of for an o-lineman. Talley said the scouts had told him possible 1st to second round. This is the 5th time I’ve watched Nova, 4th time on TV just this yr, and he’s one of the most dominant I-AA players I’ve ever seen, certainly the most dominant o-lineman. Was clearly better than Ducasse of UMass last yr, and Ducassee was a 2nd round pick. Try ignoring the ball and just watching him and you’ll see what I am talking about. Whoever Ijalana is blocking will be completely taken out of the game. Right now its #54 for ASU. Its like ASU has only 10 defensive players in the game.freebird wrote:Won't argue that he might be the first FCS player selected in the upcome draft, but when you say best at his position, what position are you thinking of?BDKJMU wrote:Nova has the best player on the field in terms of his respective position & NFL. Might be the 1st I-AA player taken in the draft (if it isn't Devlin).

#54 for ASU is Jabari Fletcher... All Conference, Buchanan finalist. So.. he's no slouch. And Ijalana is definitely having his way with him so far.

If a 4-point lead with three quarters to play is "getting smacked up" then yes. Yes they are.BlackFalkin wrote:APPALACHIAN STATE GETTIN SMACKED UP!

Aren't you the guy that tries to hang onto EWU's 3 point loss to App as a moral victory of spectacular proportions?
So... 3 point loss = so close that it's practically a win. 4 point deficit = getting smacked around.

Re: Villanova @ App State
I expect the Nova defense settle down and limit those App big plays.. if they do Nova has a real good shot to win the game.

Re: Villanova @ App State
If Nova is fortunate enough to have this game wrapped up late in the fourth quarter, could I ask a small favor that one of the App players just go ahead and lean on Szczur's ankle a little?
