JBB, since you appear to be some kind of dumbass, I thought I'd help you out.JBB wrote:I'm sure UND is very proud of their record against NDSU. It is their greatest achievement in sports. As many of you are now claiming just a win or two over NDSU is a huge deal. Many of you know a win over NDSU is the biggest win in your programs history. But UND did quit the series and it is really back there in time when we last played, but after all if the past counts the dynasty that NDSU built in D2 counts. NDSU was the greatest football Dynasty in the history of college football.
Now the BISON appear to be breaking away from the pack in the MVFC and again joining the elite group at the top of the division. Certainly some fans will continue to brag about their team even though the wins were to a great extent "circumstantial", but thats the way they are.![]()
The difference between regional programs like UNI and to some extent SIU (more local and they are really down) is their inability to compete at the national level. Good local and regional rural teams, sure, but little interest beyond that. There are a lot of teams like that in the BSC, including EWU. One big program stands out, like NDSU, on a national scale. Other than that there isnt much beyond the regional and of course local interest for the BSC.
Thats part of the reason this game is of such keen national interest. Its going to be a chance for both clubs to show case their programs in the national spot light and for NDSU to show case the prestigious venue: The Fabulous Fargo Dome. A visit around the beautiful NDSU campus is also advised. The serene beauty will bring joy to anyone, even some of you sick bastards!![]()
1. UND's greatest achievement in sports are their National Championships in Hockey, and National Championship in Football.
2. You are the only one that purports beating ndsu is a huge deal. It's not. Almost everyone in the 4th best conference has done it, half of them on an annual basis. Beating ndsu is a regular occurrence for many schools, and for those in other conferences, it's nothing special. Not even close to the biggest win in any program's history.
3. Of course history counts. ndsu may have championships as D2, but yet they still lost to UND on a regular basis, and all-time have a losing record.
4.

Not to mention D-III Mount Union has 10 National Championships between 1993 and 2008.
5. There is no national interest in NDSU vs. Laffytaffy.
You're welcome!
