Catch up on senior Q&A and daily practice updatesDeNarius McGhee was throwing pills all day. He is so fun to watch, even in practice. His energy is seemingly endless and he is always competing.
Tanner Bleskin had a few nice catches today, as did Everett Gilbert. But the wideout impressing me the most is Elvis Akpla. His routes are crisp and his hands are great. He looks like he prepared himself well to have a standout senior season.
Today's practice, the first in pads, was as spirited a Day 3 practice in the four college football camps (two at Montana, one at Central Washington, now one at MSU) as I've seen in my short career as a sports writer. Scuffles broke out all over the place and competitive enthusiasm, despite the lack of full pads, was on display everywhere.
You just did.VictorG wrote:"throwing pills all day"...........................?????..................nope, I'm not even going there!

Elvis Akplabut honestly, I want nothing more than to see this team use our abilities the best we can. I want nothing more than for us to be national champions. We already got a taste of being conference champions last year. That’s all I want, that’s all I practice for is for our team to go all the way.”
Leo DavisIndividually, it’s now or never, honestly. This is my last year and I want to go out with a bang. As a team, it’s national championship or bust. Regardless of what happens, we have to win it. Not just get there, we have to win it. We feel like we are the most talented team in the nation.
I could post some tv interviews but I think you get the point.“As a team, we working for that championship. We just want to get better day by day, take it game by game. As you can see, we are doing that. Today’s practice was way better than the last.”
"Based on what we've heard from athletic trainers and strength coaches, our guys had a very good summer," Ash said on the eve of players reporting to camp for the beginning of practices leading to the 2011 season. "Our indications are that some of the guys may have pushed so hard (during summer workouts) that there are some nagging injuries entering camp. But that's a great problem to have. I think the team will be in excellent condition when we start practice on Friday."
Doesn't count if someone needs to point it out. Besides, I'm not real sure what that phrase means in the way the author intended it to mean.....AZGrizFan wrote:You just did.VictorG wrote:"throwing pills all day"...........................?????..................nope, I'm not even going there!![]()

Kind of an unknown at this point, we probably have more talent in the secondary than we have had in years, but they are all young we will have to see how it shakes out. The hope is that a strong DL will give them time to mature quickly.RichardHarrison wrote:doesn't seem to be much "buzz" about your secondary. are they being overlooked thanks to all the hype surrounding guys like Minter and McGhee? or will the secondary be a weakness for the Cats?
If they were NDSU they'd be drawing national attention at this point. I'm just sayin'....cats2506 wrote:Kind of an unknown at this point, we probably have more talent in the secondary than we have had in years, but they are all young we will have to see how it shakes out.
