Avs thrash the Senators 7-1 in Ottawa. The future of our rookie Swedish phenom looks pretty bright.

Detroit just won their 17th straight at home, and currently sit attop the western conference (hell, of all the NHL) at 33-15-1 with 67 points....Slow start, but damn they look good right now.

Lots of streaky teams this year. Boston had a tremendous Stanley Cup hangover to start the season and now are on top of the East. Pens look like world beaters one month, then take a two week break, then come back to win 6-7 in a row. Can't figure anyone out this year. Heck, even the Ducks are making a small push lately.OptimusPrime wrote:Minnesota has completely fallen off the face of the planet.clenz wrote:Detroit just won their 17th straight at home, and currently sit attop the western conference (hell, of all the NHL) at 33-15-1 with 67 points....Slow start, but damn they look good right now.![]()

Re: NHL Season Starts
Here's a question, before he backed out this morning Ovechkin was supposed to be in the All-Star Game this weekend, problem was he just got suspended for 3 games for a charging play on Sunday vs the Pens.
Has a "suspended player" ever participated in an all-star game in the NHL/NBA/MLB? I couldn't think of one this morning before he bowed out....

I can't think of anyone worthy of AS status in the other sports being suspended for in-game transgressions.bluehenbillk wrote:Has a "suspended player" ever participated in an all-star game in the NHL/NBA/MLB? I couldn't think of one this morning before he bowed out....
