Why do I have to explain this? I follow women's AMERICAN football for the most part. I never followed THIS league, and I haven't even followed the USWNT since Brandi Chastain retired.
It's sad, but I have nothing to do with it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if MLS followed suit. Soccer has a national following at the sub-HS level ONLY.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Needless to say if this sport were in another country this story would not have made headlines again soccer is popular everywhere but in the USA.SuperHornet wrote:Why do I have to explain this? You should be. It's been expanding steadily since its inception, and many teams outdraw MLB teams.SuperHornet wrote:Why do I have to explain this? I follow women's AMERICAN football for the most part. I never followed THIS league, and I haven't even followed the USWNT since Brandi Chastain retired.

It may always be a niche sport compared to the big 4, but soccer isn't going anywhere.
