Maybe um should remain in the poll, but it is really hard to make an argument for a team that has played an all FCS schedule, is below .500 and the two teams they have beat have a total combined wins of 1 game

When you rush for over 400 yards you shouldn't lose. I missed a lot because I was on the road all day Saturday. But, good grief, there's no way you should lose a game when you rush for over 400 yards and the other team can't even manage 100 on the ground.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

You're just playing dumb now, aren't you?

The Griz rushed for over 400 yards...but fumbled twice inside the 10 yard line. The other team didn't manage 100 on the ground, but got almost 400 in the air...those yards count just the same. :coffee: :coffee:

I think the Griz just played the 2 best teams in the Big Sky and will get much better as the season progress's. I certainly hope my Eagles do not have to face them again.
+1

If the Griz had a better passing game and even marginally better safeties they'd be unstoppable. Young team that will get a lot better.

Well, I think fumbling twice inside the 10 yard line kind of leans into the "no way you should have lost that game" outlook.

Rushing for 400 yards is a whole lot more impressive than passing for 400 yards. It implies physical domination of the line of scrimmage. Most of the time, if you run the ball and stop the run you're going to win.

I think that was a "coulda shoulda" for Montana.

We have a history of being physically dominated, having bad third quarters, and still winning. The red rurf is just an excuse for being hated...we're the Bill Clinton of FCS :)

Can't remember exactly, but it was very promising field position either way.

But we did also throw a pick, and fumbled a punt long snap deep in our own territory, giving the Griz the ball on the 10, so that kind of mitigates the UM fumbles. I saw two pretty evenly matched teams, with one being pass heavy, the other run heavy.

True, but UM flat out dominated in the trenches. St Onge is right (for once); generally if you have success running the ball, and to the tune of 400 yards, you're going to win the game.

And EWU flat out dominated in the secondary. 8-)

Eh, T Mac was 14-17 against it, it just seems like he didn't do much because he hardly even had to throw.

Damn, Montana dropped out of all the polls except for the Coaches (#20).

Meh, teams will be in for a rude awakening if they decide to sleep on us because we aren't ranked.

And although it's sad to see it end, being in the top 25 for 20 years in a row is a feat that probably won't be matched any time soon. :notworthy:

Does thus mean uni currently had the longest streak, since we held on this week? I think we are at 99 or100 straight weeks
