Cunningham wasn't immune from race questions about black QBs early in his career in Philadelphia.I seemed to remember that Eagle fans were screaming for Ricky Williams in '99 guess who will have better chance at Canton Williams or McNabb?!?!?!?!

dal I;m sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. From somebody that sat in the 700 level during that transition Philly was done with Jaws & was more than ready for Randall. Schmidt had a tough time with fans until the latter third of his career, people knew he had gobs of talent but they way Schmidt played at times some of the fanbase thought he wasn't going 100%. Schmidt talks about it candidly today, he didn't like the relationship he had with the fans for many years but he said it made him a HOF player.

McNabb, that was rocky from Day 1. The booing from 30 fans WIP brought to the draft, the never getting over the hump in the NFC Championship Game to finally getting to the Super Bowl & literally throwing up on the field as they tried to make a comeback. Most Philly fams resepected McNabb but they weren't big fans.
