Okay yes AI loved playing in Philadelphia but in Cunningham's early years I remember a story in Sports Illustrated when he was made the starting QB by Buddy Ryan ppl called into the offices of the Eagles asking why was Ron Jaworski being replaced by a black QB.Always wondered why ppl in Philly hated Schmidt????bluehenbillk wrote:Allen Iverson? I think both Iverson and Schmidt have no problem with the fans.
Not sure about Cunningham.
McNabb is an idiot who accepts no responsibilty no matter where he loses.
Santa Claus isn't real.

Re: Poooooooorrrrrrrrrr Yankees!
Agree with you about Iverson but you ppl hated McNabb ever since '99 draft. Some guy said Schmidt was a choke artist late in games.Other towns knew Santa wasn't real but they never booed him!!!! Cunningham wasn't immune from race questions about black QBs early in his career in Philadelphia.I seemed to remember that Eagle fans were screaming for Ricky Williams in '99 guess who will have better chance at Canton Williams or McNabb?!?!?!?!BlueHen86 wrote:You don't know Philly do you?dal4018 wrote:Yes he has a no trade clause and if he thinks NY fans are vicious he should ask Donovan McNabb,Allen Iverson,Randall Cunningham,Mike Schmidt,Santa Claus!!!!!!

You said that Philly fans are vicious, just ask Donovan McNabb,Allen Iverson,Randall Cunningham,Mike Schmidt,Santa Clausdal4018 wrote:Agree with you about Iverson but you ppl hated McNabb ever since '99 draft. Some guy said Schmidt was a choke artist late in games.Other towns knew Santa wasn't real but they never booed him!!!! So, go ahead and ask them. I doubt if Iverson and Schmidt would agree. Not sure about Randall, some people loved him others didn't. I think Randall likes Philly but I'm not sure.
Of the 5 names you mentioned only McNabb is likely to agree and even there maybe not. That makes you 1 for 5 at best, nice work.
Philly's rep is worse than the actual conditions. Only uninformed people bash Philly the way that you did.
Ask Scott Rolen about Philly. He wasn't liked here, but even he said that the fans were okay.

Re: Poooooooorrrrrrrrrr Yankees!
dal I;m sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. From somebody that sat in the 700 level during that transition Philly was done with Jaws & was more than ready for Randall. Schmidt had a tough time with fans until the latter third of his career, people knew he had gobs of talent but they way Schmidt played at times some of the fanbase thought he wasn't going 100%. Schmidt talks about it candidly today, he didn't like the relationship he had with the fans for many years but he said it made him a HOF player.dal4018 wrote:Okay yes AI loved playing in Philadelphia but in Cunningham's early years I remember a story in Sports Illustrated when he was made the starting QB by Buddy Ryan ppl called into the offices of the Eagles asking why was Ron Jaworski being replaced by a black QB.Always wondered why ppl in Philly hated Schmidt????bluehenbillk wrote:

McNabb, that was rocky from Day 1. The booing from 30 fans WIP brought to the draft, the never getting over the hump in the NFC Championship Game to finally getting to the Super Bowl & literally throwing up on the field as they tried to make a comeback. Most Philly fams resepected McNabb but they weren't big fans.
