Watch him go on to success, once again proving that the Cowboys's problems are much deeper than you think. :coffee: :coffee:

Teams would rather hire someone with a name, even if they aren't that great that may fail, than hire a "no name" that may fail....it's also a sign of laziness

I'm not sure Rob Ryan's a bad hire. The Cowboys are a dysfunctional organization where a wild-card like Ryan can be hit or miss. Put him with an organization with enough structure and discipline to focus his efforts and keep him from being a distraction and he has a much better chance of being successful.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Look at where his defenses have ranked during his career. I think he had only had 1 to 20 defense

I don't agree with this too much. It's about the players. He's never had a ton great players on his defenses. That's why some coaches look brilliant and others don't. Case in point: Belichick sucked in Cleveland. Now he's a genius in New England. It's obvious why. Rob Ryan has a lot of work to do when it comes to personnel in New Orleans....and that will make or break him.

Hey dear old dad wasn't the second coming of Bill Walsh when it came to head coaching. How many playoff wins did he have??? He ruined Cunningham's career putting a SIEVE in front of him and calling it a offensive line other coaches and GMs were saying that he took players no one else wanted. The Eagles still hold the record for most sacks allowed in a 16 game season 106!!!!!

Belichick tried to act like Parcells in Cleveland. It didn't go over too well with established vets like Bernie Kosar.Kosar used a audible that Belicheat didn't call for on a play.Funny thing it worked!!!Next thing Kosar was put on waivers!!!!

Cowboys' problems aren't that deep. It's Jerry Jones. And Jason Garrett. And their QB. And their O-line.

Ok, so the list is long, but other than that, they're actually OK. (I think.)
don't forget that patchwork defense they had.

We will see how his replacement does with this group of patchwork defenders.

Didn't say he was. Not many are. My point (and, I think, hen's) was that Dad was an outstanding DC. He was likely in over his head as a HC. He was probably a good example of the Peter Principle. But he was an outstanding DC.

They had a few too many injuries for me to blame their defense. They still have a few quality players there.
