Do you honestly think I'm being overly critical because they have only beaten the champ of a conference that hasn't won a playoff game since 1999? Coastal is 0-3 in the playoffs vs anyone not named Bethune.

Yep, CCU has full control of who they get to play in the playoffs. Hunter (our AD) should really stop scheduling those patsy playoff games.
Provide me with a list of teams that you feel CCU needs to beat at some point to earn some respect. Lets try to be realistic. Any other year, beating the SoCon would be great (but they were abysmal this year). So what other conferences does that really leave us? Should we trek out each year to Big Sky?

Sometimes it's not about who you beat in the regular season...it's who you beat (or don't beat) in the playoffs.....that's how you earn respect....witness the lack of respect for any BSC team NOT named Montana or EWU.

And a mutiple-year run of doing things like that (beating Montana or other historically good teams) is what it will take to wash away the stench of mutiple gassings in the playoffs.
