Ryan - once again, don't let facts get in the way. It is the DEMOCRATS that have been pushing for more troops in Afganistan. It is the DEMOCRATS that want to step up the military presence there.Wildcat Ryan wrote:dbackjon wrote:
Been paying plenty of attention. We rightfully went after them in Afganistan. But we did not finish the job. Instead, Bush decided to go after Saddam, who had NOTHING TO DO with 9/11, and did not support a single terrorist that threatened the United States.
Now, because of Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld's ineptitude in conducting a war, Al-Queda is a greater threat to the world than in was 8 years ago.
Heck ofa job, Bushie.
Apparently not, if you havent noticed, and by your post you havent. We are still fighting them in Afganistan, its the democrats who want to withdraw our troops out of Afg, and in doing so we will lose, we havent lost the war (yet). But as soon as we withdraw all troops, we will have lost the war, which is what the democrats want to happen.
And I dissagree, how can you say terrorism is a greater threat now than it was 8 years ago, 9/11 happened 8 years ago, and we havent be attacked since, (until Obama the apologist took office and one of our cargo ships was hi-jacked) You might not like him, but Bush kept our country safe. And now Obama is going to erase all that, by putting the CIA on trial, just for doing their jobs and keeping our country safe, who cares what kind of interogation methods we used on them they worked, the CIA saved Los Angeles from being attacked, by putting the agents who did the interogation on trial, he is dishonoring the military and the victoms of 9/11. Actually maybe I do agree with you, now that Obama wants to get rid of the interogation methods we now have no way to know what they are planning, so maybe we are in more trouble.
And another thing, where is the outrage?
The Patriot Act that all of you hated and opposed so much is still being used today.

For those wondering, that means he hit the target dead on with that post...
We had an opportunity to take out OBL and al-Qaeda...but Bush et al had a serious case of ADD and took us into Iraq...based on intel that everyone (including Bush) except Cheney admits was faulty...
Now, al-Qaeda has recovered a lot of their ability at least regionally and we need to divert resources back to Afghanistan to try and finish the job...
Thats right Bill Clinton was offered him twice.

Who on the left is pushing for a U.S. withdraw from Afghanistan? More importantly, is anyone in the Obama Admin. doing so? You keep making the claim, can you support it?Wildcat Ryan wrote:Col Hogan wrote:

Look Im not Bush's biggest fan, but he was a better choice than Gore or Kerry. And in all retrospects which alot of people fail to see, or refuse to see, is that whether or not the war should have been in Afg or Iraq, we just freed a whole nation from a tryannical Dictator that used his own citizens for target practice, and that was worth it. And we are still fighting Al Qaeda in Iraq.
I agree, instead of bringing our troops home, we should move back into Afg and finish the job, but the left doesnt want to, retreating out of the middle east is the lefts idea of winning.

Thats why two years ago Harry Reid and Nacy Pelosi both said the War is lost, its just a bumbersticker slogan, and we must bring them home and stop the war. Ever since the war started the left has done nothing but impune and degrade the military, calling them terrorists murdering women and children in the dark of night (John Kerry) and killing civilians in cold blood. And now the leader of the Department of Homeland Security ( Napolatono or however the hell you spell it ) is calling our returning military soldiers TERRORIST THREATS, I mean what the hell?dbackjon wrote:Ryan - once again, don't let facts get in the way. There are far more terrorists with the USA as their target today than 8 years ago.
And you know that the Somalia piracy had nothing to do with Obama taking office - SMFH.
And yes, the Patriot Act is still in effect, but parts will be revised.

Both sides share the blame. Clinton for putting himself in that position, and the republicans for putting party politics ahead of the national interest.dbackjon wrote:Again - another LIE told by the Republicans. Newt Gingrich, et al have harmed this country far more than Saddam ever dreamed.

Obama has come out and said that he will bring all troops home by 2011, whether or not we win or lose, and the left would prefer to lose.BlueHen86 wrote:Who on the left is pushing for a U.S. withdraw from Afghanistan? Looks to me like you have a pro-right agenda and are will to spread lies to make your point. Nothing wrong with being a republican (I'm one!) but try and be honest when discussing the issues.

Do you have a link to the statement that Obama wants troops out of Afghanistan by 2011 win or lose. You keep making idiotic statements, can you support any of them.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Obama has come out and said that he will bring all troops home by 2011, whether or not we win or lose, and the left would prefer to lose.BlueHen86 wrote:

You're getting closer...but once again you try and defelct by bringing up Gore the Bore and John Helmet head" Kerry...they have NOTHING to do with the massive SCREW UP that Bush performed going into Iraq...Wildcat Ryan wrote:Col Hogan wrote:

FIRST OF ALL - Stop the Rush/Beck BULLSHIT that the left wants the US to lose. You have ZERO CREDIBILITY when you do that, and makes you look like a complete ASSHOLE.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Obama has come out and said that he will bring all troops home by 2011, whether or not we win or lose, and the left would prefer to lose.BlueHen86 wrote:

Bill Clinton was offered OBL twice, but instead of taking him, he took money instead from the UAE just so he could keep good relations with them.

I would love to have a reasonable debate. But when half the debaters come in with the attitude that the other side are a bunch of liars, hate America, hate the military, and want the United States to be defeated, then what is the point? I am not the one making these fantastical claims.Wildcat Ryan wrote:dbackjon wrote:

And even when I do LINK, or explain, you dismiss it as a liberal lie (like the Orange incident), or the falsehood your gun instructor told you about Guns and Ammo in California, which was disproven by a retired CALIFORNIA CONSERVATIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER...
