I pretty much turned off the game after Song got sent off. No way Cameroon was coming back from a 2 goal deficit after going a man down. But apparently I did miss one of their defenders pulling a Pepe on his own teammate

Yup, but I would pick Belgium over the Netherlands if they played each other in the next few weeks. That would be a good matchup though.
I'll bet half of Americans don't realize Belgium and the Netherlands are even two different countries.

I've been to both. There really isn't much of a difference. Of course, that excludes the Walloons, who are a different animal entirely.

I'd bet that half of Americans don't even know that Luxembourg even exists, let alone if it's part of another country or not. Geography is certainly not one of America's strong points (along with reading, writing, arithmetic, science, etc.).

A game is only 90 minutes plus stoppage, so he should have been OK.

Well England is now in a tough spot

A Costa Rica-Italy tie eliminates them.

To advance, they now need:

Italy to win against Costa Rica and Uruguay
Beat Costa Rica
Have Goal Differential over CR and Uruguay

Updating records after the England-Uruguay game

CONCACAF is 3-1-1 with 2 wins over Africa and 1 over South American team. Loss was to Europe and tie to South America.

Africa is 1-5-1 with win over Asia and tie to Asia and 2 losses to CONCACAF and Europe and 1 to South America

Asia is 0-3-2 with tie to Africa and Europe and losses to Africa, South America and Europe

Europe is 8-8-1 (5-5-1 against non-Europe) with 3 wins against Europe and 2 against Africa and 1 against South America, Asia and CONCACAF and 5 losses against South America and 3 against Europe and 1 tie to Asia

South America is 7-2-1 with wins against 5 Europe and Asia and Africa and losses against CONCACAF and Europe and tie to CONCACAF

England's goalie pussied out on game winning goal.

And THAT goal was pure luck. :coffee:
