Is Indiana down this year or has EWU picked up some dropdowns?

I don't know, but even if EWU were preseason BSC champ favorites (they weren't) and Indiana was picked to finish in the cellar (they weren't) it would still be a big win.

EWU wasn't picked first? I would have bet a beer and a buck on that. I was out coyote hunting earlier this month and one of my buddies said, I could have sworn, that EWU was picked first in the BSC.

Hornets beat UVU 65-56. Hornets (4-1) had a 10 point cushion for most of the night and some bad turnovers and poor FT shooting let UVU close the gap a bit at the end, otherwise it was a comfortable win (would have been a 15-20 point win had the Hornets took care of the ball and made FTs). Hornsby had a huge night with 20 pts (8/8 from the floor, 2/2 from downtown, 2/3 FT), 5 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks.

Hornets chalk up an embarrassing loss 72-61 against a bad Abilene Christian on the road. The Hornets are typically a poor road team and it looks like that won't change this year. :ohno:

No drop downs, most of the team is international from Australia or Germany. As for Indiana, they're picked in the lower half of the Big 10, but they did beat #22 SMU.
