Now because the oil industry is providing life support for an economy choked to death by Obama you are suddenly against it? Interesting and sad that Julian would allow a political flip flopper like you inside him.

Keep up the good work gluten............ :coffee:
First, learn how to spell, Simple Jack.

Second, as unpalatable as it was, the bail out saved our nation and you know it. Thank you Mr. President.

I'm against bailing out shale oil for environmental reasons. It ain't worth it.
Do you believe in unicorns, Bigfoot and the tooth fairy too?

I see you're still stupid, so here's some recommendations:

"Thank you fracking, but much more important, thank you world economic slowdown, especially in China"

"Thank you fracking, but much more important, thank you president Obama for putting the screws to Russia and Iran and basicaally making it impossible for them to slow production."

"Thank you fracking, but much more important, thank you Venezuela, Mexico, Nigeria and every other despotic shithole for continuing oil production."

"Thank you fracking, but primarily, thank you Saudi Arabia for your attempt to bankrupt North American fracking operations by keeping oil prices low."

"Thank you fracking, but more important, thank you Libya for reopening your oil operations."

"Thank you fracking, but more important, thank you conkgress and American idiots who have bought into another Wall Street scam and for your inevitible bailout."

Huh? You think it's going away for good? It'll ebb and flow depending on how much pain the Saudis can bear (and they can bear much more than any other oil producer). But fracking's going to be around and influential until long past we're dead and in the ground. A lot of money has already been spent on the infrastructure so that's a sunk cost - if prices go low, turn off the spigot, if they creep up again open the spigots back up. It's a great position for the US to be in right now. The Saudis have to keep prices low, and for a long time (years) to hope to put a dent in the US manufacture of crude, but even when they let the prices go back up again, we can start up again. The long game is in our favor - we get cheaper oil (not as cheap as it is now, but far below the $110/barrel everyone was predicting for 2020 just last year) no matter what option the Saudis choose. We don't actually have to pull the oil out of the ground for it to be effective, we just need to have the viable threat of pulling it out of the ground, and that's not going away. John Nash would call us the winner in this game theory and I agree. :thumb:
