Played out like putin said it would? A couple of days to take Kiev and replace the Ukrainian government or absorb the country? Those were the expectations until putin, trump and MAQA yahoos tried to whitewash history.
A brilliant negotiator doesn't start negotiations by:Ukraine does not have to agree to whatever trump negotiates with putin (fortunately, Europe has $200-300 billion in russian funds that can be confiscated to help fund either Ukrainian defense or rebuilding). They need to be a part of the process and territorial concessions and NATO membership are chits that should be used not given away.
- making concessions (no return of territory, no NATO membership) before negotiations have even started. That's either moronic or proof of favoritism toward russia.
- excluding one of the central parties to the dispute (Ukraine) and a group of parties that will be expected to contribute financially and possibly with manpower to a solution (European nations).

What are you talking about. Victora Neumann, Cids lover, the person he hitched boat to and was exposed as a retard.

You also apparently are not bright enough to realize Ukraine doesn't get a seat at the table. They pissed that away by admitting Minsk I and II were just plots to build up troops, and of course them being the West's proxy.
The adults are finally talking. Go back to the children's table and keep playing with your food.

With us siding with the baddies, wont the odds of Europe increasing its own military capability and support of Ukraine go up? Putin has tipped his hand so capitulation becomes less likely as Europe has seen how Putin prefers to negotiate.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
What administration is trying to prevent the destruction of Ukraine? The trump regime is trying to sell them out and/or leverage the loss of Ukrainian lives for economic benefit (mineral rights).
It's disrespectful for the President of the United States to attempt to negotiate the future of Ukraine without Ukraine being represented.

Going to take A LOT of minerals to pay back the 177 billion or whatever it’s up to now that American taxpayers are owed by Ukraine.UNI88 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 11:28 amWhat administration is trying to prevent the destruction of Ukraine? Imagine if this leads to Zelensky cutting a deal for 30% of their mineral rights with the European Union for the security guarantees that the US refuses to give.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
Do you guys remember the early days of this war when the thinking around here and the Foreign Policy Think Tanks was "There's no way Putin can win, and when he finds out he can't win he might nuke Poland."? Well three years later and many billions in aide for Ukraine and Russia is still occupying Ukraine without using any nukes. Time to acknowledge Putin out-maneuvered the West and move on to another strategy.
I see two options...march NATO troops into Ukraine to fight Russia (which is insane) or just give up the war and live to fight another day. I feel for Zelenkyy, but if you want someone to blame then blame the stupid Germans for closing down nuclear plants and increasing their reliance on Russian gas.

The Latest: Trump cuts short talks with Ukraine’s Zelenskyy after Oval Office blow up
musk/trump/vance continue to rally Europe to stand with Ukraine and against russian aggression.“Security is not just a word. It means life, a future without sirens, without losses, without fear for our loved ones,” Andriy Yermak wrote on Telegram.
He added that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continues to fight for those defending a just and lasting peace. Yermak also thanked those who recognize that Ukraine is more than just a point on the map.
“We are deeply grateful to the American people for their support. It brings us closer to the day when war will be just a memory,” he wrote.
...
European leaders pledge to stand by Ukraine in the wake of the contentious Oval Office meeting
Prime ministers, presidents and foreign ministers across the continent issued statements or took to social platform X to express their support for Zelenskyy and Ukraine.
The strongest comments so far have come from French President Emmanuel Macron, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and the foreign minister from Estonia, which borders Russia.
“The only obstacle to peace is the decision by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to continue his war of aggression,” Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said in a statement. “If Ukraine stops fighting, there will be no Ukraine. Estonia’s support for Ukraine remains unwavering. It is time for Europe to step up. We do not need to wait for something else to happen; Europe has enough resources, including Russia’s frozen assets, to enable Ukraine to continue fighting.”
Officials from Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany and Poland also offered their support to Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister: ‘Zelenskyy has the bravery and strength to stand up for what Is right’
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha posted on X that “President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has the bravery and strength to stand up for what is right.”
“He stands up for Ukraine and the goal of a just and lasting peace. We have always been and will continue to be grateful to America for its support,” he wrote.
