Spokane protest goes from a line of cops kneeling in solidarity with the protestors to tear gas, to rubber bullets allegedly fired at apartment balconies, to the Nike store windows bashed in with protestors trying to block looters, to accusations of Antifa (which I’m told is an adjective) to Proud Boys, to a bunch of lifted trucks prowling the downtown streets (you know...those hippie libtards and their love of monster 4x4’s!)

I don't either and I don't see how you read that in. Officer Chauvin was the only one with a plan and it wasn't about riots, it was about snuffing a handcuffed suspect in the middle of the street in broad daylight while his buddies helped. But hey what is that compared to property damage?

Chauvin and those other cops need to be thrown in jail for a very long time at the very least. Not sure how any of that means rioting and looting is okay though. Why the left is embracing the idea that those two stances are mutually exclusive is absurd.

It isn't OK but provocateurs have been a part of riots since the first riot was held. The far left, far right, and cops are all doing it SD - look at the vids on-line, its white person after white person smashing windows and provoking violence - the antifas and the accelerationists for obvious reasons and the cops because they much prefer the narrative to be about rioting and looters rather than a torture/snuff film featuring a cop that always seems to be around shootings of people that aren't white.

2) Republicans will praise his leadership
3) Democrats will say it's not enough, tone deaf, too late, etc..
4) People rioting and looting won't hear it

But that isn't the point. The point is that you were elected to lead. If every speech was qualified by whether or not it'd be heard or well received then hardly any presidents will give addresses. Trump has nothing to lose if he comes out and gives a measured, heartfelt response. Well, it's too late now. He should've done it days ago.
