Enrique Tarrio, 37, pleaded guilty to destruction of property and attempted possession of a large-capacity ammunition feeding device.

Appearing through video in court on Monday, Tarrio apologised and said there was "no excuse" for his actions.

He will report to jail on 6 September to begin his 155 day sentence.

Prosecutors said that Tarrio and other members of the Proud Boys removed the banner from the historically black Asbury United Methodist Church in Washington DC on 12 December and set it ablaze.

Apples to oranges a bit but here’s one example BLM sentencing. 46 months for brandishing a weapon. Sounds like they’ve been prosecuting both sides based on the available laws if that’s what you’re driving at.

How could it be a hate crime for a black latino to burn a flag of a self described Marxist group?

Sounds like selective prosecution. Those empty 30 round AR mags are legal in 40+ states. I would assume even in the states and DC where they’re not legal, possession of empty mags that have the capacity to carry too many rounds for liberals, is a misdemeanor.
